Aims and Scope
Plant Environment Development is a peer-reviewed interdisciplinary journal devoted to advancing knowledge in plant science, environmental research, and related developmental issues. The journal publishes high-quality research studies that are made rapidly available to researchers and professionals worldwide.
It covers a wide range of topics, including botany, crop improvement, biotechnology, plant systematics, aquatic and landscape ecology, ecosystem structure and functioning, plant–human–wildlife interactions, biodiversity, natural resource management, and conservation biology. Both basic and applied research addressing global challenges are welcomed.
In addition to original research, the journal publishes commissioned articles, reviews, discussions, editorials, short notes, and readers’ feedback. By integrating natural and social sciences, Plant Environment Development aims to serve as a bridge between scientists, practitioners, and policymakers, presenting research in a clear and accessible way for audiences across disciplines, including the humanities.
Peer Review Policy
Plant Environment Development operates a double-blind peer-review system, where both authors and reviewers remain anonymous.
Process Overview
Initial Screening – Manuscripts are checked for scope, formatting, and ethical compliance.
Editor Assignment – Suitable papers are assigned to an Editor, who selects at least two expert reviewers.
Review – Reviewers evaluate originality, quality, and relevance. The standard review period is one month.
Decision – Editors decide: Accept, Minor Revision, Major Revision, or Reject. Revised papers may undergo further review.
Final Steps – Accepted articles proceed to copyediting, proofs, and online publication.

The journal strictly adheres to COPE guidelines to uphold the highest standards of research integrity and ethical publishing. Authors are required to ensure the originality of their work, avoiding plagiarism and duplicate submission, properly acknowledging sources, meeting authorship criteria by making significant contributions and agreeing to the submission, and complying with ethical standards, including obtaining necessary ethical approvals for research involving human or animal subjects. Reviewers must maintain strict confidentiality of submitted manuscripts, disclose any potential conflicts of interest, and provide objective, constructive, and timely feedback to support the integrity of the peer-review process.
